IMAGE009.JPG (37744 bytes)The journey to the basin was through a wooded wonderland filled with color, trees and lots of water.

IMAGE010.JPG (18738 bytes)A stream rushes to meet the basin. The woods surrounding the basin were filled with wonderful trails for hiking.

IMAGE011.JPG (25112 bytes)The paths alone are wonders of their own. Everywhere you looked and felt, nature was present and demanding your attention.

IMAGE012.JPG (29935 bytes)The richness of colors were unmistakable even for a color blind photographer.

IMAGE013.JPG (15765 bytes)The Basin was carved out of granite by glaciers years ago to create this smooth rounded cistern of water and stone.

IMAGE014.JPG (41427 bytes)The Basin makes for a tranquil resting place during hikes in the park during this leaf peeping season, or at anytime of the year. The awesomeness of God's creation and beauty is unmistakable here.

IMAGE015.JPG (27627 bytes)One last brook in the Basin area before we left for new adventures in this magnificent state park. It is so unbelievable how beautiful, peaceful, and majestic all of this was to see and experience. New Hampshire is blessed to have this gift. They are generous to all of us by sharing it and making it so easy to experience and behold.
