An Alaska Native Nativity Scene
In Skagway, we found this Alaska Native Nativity Scene
which we bought to add to our collection of nativity scenes back
home. However, this particular nativity scene is dramatic in that it was
designed specifically to capture the lure, customs, and beauty of the Alaska
native.
Each of the figures represents a tribe of Alaska native or related tribe in
British Columbia and the Northwestern USA.
It gives you just a taste of the color, drama, and majesty of the Alaska
country. If the Baby Jesus was to be born in Alaska he certainly would have had
all of these visitors and friends.
We hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we do.
