It was a sunny day in Juneau. One of 27 which they get each year. A
view of the mountains surrounding Juneau from the porch of the salmon hatchery.
Juneau has over 30,000 people. It is the Capital of Alaska and is the most
isolated state capital in the USA.

Mendenhall Glacier - Juneau
Mendenhall
Glacier - a view from the visitor center at the park.
Mendenhall
is visited by over 300,000 people yearly and is the most visited of all Glaciers
in Alaska.
The
glacier is approximately one and half miles away from this point.

The
dry land in front of the glacier is made up of glacier silt which is brought
down the mountainside by the glacier.
Native
flowers bloom at the foot of the glacier and on the shore of its lake.

Mount Roberts - Juneau
A
view from the top of Mount Roberts which is over 3,000 over Juneau. We went by
tramway to the top of this mountain. This is looking down on the Gastineau
Channel.
