Pathfinder Parenting Workshop Materials

The following is an outline of a 4 session Pathfinder Parenting Workshop.

Goals of Workshop:

  1. To provide parents with an overview of Pathfinder Parenting Model

  2. To better help parents recognize what is Pathfinder Parenting

  3. To provide parents an opportunity to do a self-assessment on their current parenting model

  4. To provide parents with an overview of the principles involved in the Pathfinder Parenting Model

  5. To provide parents an opportunity to identify and deal with problem behaviors, with which they are currently dealing with their children

  6. To train parents in the use of logical and natural consequences

  7. To inform parents of how to organize a Pathfinder Parent Policy Manual

  8. To help parents understand a productive communications model to use with their children

Pathfinder Parenting Workshop Outline:

Note: each workshop session could run from 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours in length depending on the size and nature of the audience and setting. The handouts are in Word format for downloading.
