Parents Helping Parents Parents Helping Parents Family Resource Center in Santa Clara, California, an excellent example of a parent lead initiative to help children with special needs receive the love, hope, respect and services they need to achieve their full potential by strengthening their families and the professionals who serve them.

Self Esteem Advisory Service This site out of England is focused on providing parents and teachers assistance in improving the self-esteem of children while at the same time improving their own self-esteem. This is an important issue for children with exceptionalities who run the risk of extreme low self-esteem due to feelings that they "are not good enough," "do not match up" or " do not fit in" with others.

Teen Placement Service - Teen Help for Troubled Teens this site is committed to helping parents find the most appropriate placement for their teenage troubled child.

Tourette Syndrome "Plus" (TS+) This site is not just about Tourette Syndrome! This extensive website is well designed and executed by Leslie Pecker, Ph.D. It has been widely recognized and reviewed. It has a large section on special education advocacy with tutorials for parents, along with a message board and loads of information on other disorders.

Wrightslaw: The Special Ed Advocate Because advocates need accurate information, parents, educators, experts, and attorneys come to Wrightslaw for up-to-date information about effective advocacy for children with disabilities. You'll find hundreds of articles, cases, newsletters, and other information about special education law and advocacy in the Wrightslaw Libraries. On this site you will find a Newsroom , Advocacy Library,  Law Library, Newsletter, Consults, and Bookstore. This is an excellent supplement to the Involving Parents in the Exceptional Process Workbook on this site.
