American Academy of Pediatrics The American Academy of Pediatrics Web Site: This site has an excellent check up program for children’s reading abilities from birth on. These questions are good guides for early identification of communications and learning disorders.

American Music Therapy Association Music therapists assess emotional well-being, physical health, social functioning, communication abilities, and cognitive skills through musical responses. Their work can have a profound impact on children with developmental disabilities.

American Occupational Therapy Association American Occupational Therapy Association offers an extensive guide for parents on a variety of topics related to communications and learning disorders and how occupational therapy can be used to assist a child work around these problems and become more personally functional in all aspect of daily life.
