Coping with the 9.11.01 Aftermath

A Nation United

S unshine and blue skies the start of a new day.
E very person in this country began to pray.
P eople were suffering, many had died.
T he events of this awful day, just could not be denied.
E mptiness and confusion filled this great land.
M any emergency crews came to lend a helping hand.
B elieving they were there to save as many as they could,
E ven with fear they stayed because they felt they should.
R ecovery of life, and those that were lost.

E very volunteer and citizen alike, soon realized the cost
L ives have been shattered, hearts have been broken.
E very person that was lost will not be forgotten.
V icious acts of terrorism-who do we blame?
E vil souls with no concious-only here for the fame.
N o questions to be answered they took the cowards out.
T hey will be heros in their country-no doubt.
H eroism, is the men and women who died.

T o save and protect this land, where we all reside.
W e must all come together, and be one in this fight.
O nly because we must do what is right.

T he onslaught of war, will put fear into man.
H ere we need to stand tall, and work on a plan.
O f all that has happened, and what is to be.
U nited States Of America will always remain free.
S adness abounds in the hearts of many.
A ll will unite in the land of plenty.
N ever to forget, all the hardship and pain.
D eath came to our country, in such a large strain.

A ll is not lost, we must carry on.
N ot to fret, God's Will-will be done.
D eath is just a beginning, our souls live forever.

O ur hearts are heavy, but we will not surrender.
N ational day to remember.
E very fallen person, will be in our hearts forever.
