Coping with the 9.11.01 Aftermath

9-11 Poetry by Evelyne Frary

EARTH'S ANGELS

angels walk this earth everyday
but not as we know them they have no wings hanging from their shoulders.
they have no halos or gowns of white
they walk on the ground they can not fly.

they are people we see and hear about everyday,
they are the people that try to keep us from harms way.
some walk into fires, some protect us from another's gun.
some get us to the hospitals, without question we call and they come.

some go into countries far away,
so we can live in freedom everyday.
some we don't even know, just ordinary  like us
but also give their lives without a selfish thought.

So next time you think Angels need  halos and wings
remember those who give their lives so we can be free.
remember those we see everyday, who try to protect us and keep us from harms way
remember those who gave up their lives in planes on 9-11 if not for them we would not be here today.

BLOOD ON ROSES

The towers fell, but beautiful gardens were still full.
Our hearts filled with grief, yet beautiful roses bloomed.
In memory of all those that died that day, and all the wars of past years.
Beautiful gardens with roses will forever carry you names.
And to those that know only hate.
BLOOD ON ROSES will forever carry your names!!!!!
